The breathtaking Waterwood Estate in Vermilion will house an exceptional event titled “Swans on the Lake” with a program by Cleveland Ballet on Saturday, August 27th. Built in 1991 for the late inventor Don Brown and his wife Shirley, Waterwood Estate is a remarkable property boasting an impressive 38,000 square feet on 160 acres. Sitting on the property’s vast amount of land are world-class amenities such as a private beach, marina, and pier. In addition to the stunning waterfront aspects, there are several agricultural amenities including a farmhouse and greenhouses throughout the property.
This will be the first time a performance is held at the estate which was purchased by DeGeronimo Companies in 2020. Cleveland Ballet will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. with a cocktail hour starting at 6 p.m.
This new performance comes in addition to Cleveland Ballet’s inaugural season in Vermilion with Harbourtown Fine Arts Center. Founded in 2018 as a non-profit organization, HFAC strives to make fine arts accessible to the city of Vermilion through various classes and performance & exhibition opportunities. “Harbourtown Fine Arts Center is proud to welcome the Cleveland Ballet to their first summer residence in Vermilion,” says Jim Chapple, Harbourtown Fine Arts Center President. “The town is buzzing with excitement to have this amazing company performing in our community!”
